What is your experience with best offers?

I really do like to include best offers as an option on eBay but recently, I’ve added the “automatically decline offers less than……” option.

I got tired of getting the $1.00 offers for a $40.00 item!

I enjoy opening “Best offer” emails much more now that I don’t have to view the crazy offers that people choose to send!

What about you? Do you use the “automatically decline” option?

I almost always use the decline option when I do best offers. I’m amazed at what some people will offer for a $50 item! It helps keep me from being annoyed all the time because I don’t have to deal with them.

I had an experience with a $34 item. I offered $30 each for 3 (so it was $90 total, and he was selling several). He declined and then raised the price and after that wouldn’t accept an offer of $34. I will never buy from that person. I didn’t think it was an unreasonable offer. I guess he should’ve used the ‘decline any offer less than $33.75′ tool. :)

There is no way I would use Best Offer without using the auto decline! Not only does it keep me from getting annoyed with buyers it also saves me time.
