I Have the BEST Jobs in the World

At 7 O’clock  one Friday evening, I’d worked 70+ hours  between the office, listing on eBay, teaching piano lessons, and coordinating special music at church.

I barely saw my 6 month old little girl this week.  She needed a bath, and I didn’t even have the energy to run the water.  All I wanted to do was collapse into bed and sleep until I woke up the next morning.

With everything in me, I mustered up  strength to give her a bath, take a bath myself and get both of us into bed.

Forget cleaning up the bathroom, forget answering customer questions, shipping, voicemails, emails, and everything else. I need sleep!

“God, somehow, I know there has to be another way.  You know I want to be a mom and be able to spend time with my little girl, not just work day in and day out to support her……when will things change?  Help me, Lord, I can’t keep doing this!”

I knew it was temporary, and I kept my eyes on the prize, praying over each step along the way.

After 3 L-O-N-G years, my dream started coming true…….my eBay sales were consistent, I had obtained Powerseller, my car was paid off, I had scrimped and saved every extra penny to live off of while I was busy building up piano students and eBay sales.

Today, almost 3 years later, I am SOOOOOOOOOOOO glad I pushed myself through and pursued my dream(s).  I no longer wake up and dread going to work.  I absolutely LOVE both teaching piano lessons, and selling on eBay.  They’re a nice balance so I don’t get bored doing the same thing all the time.

The time has just flown by.  I feel like I just quit my job a few months ago   I can’t believe it’s going to be 3 years ago this August 31st!

There have been a few times when I’ve wondered if I was going to make it financially, but I just take a deep breath, pray, trust God, and analyze both businesses to see if any changes need to be made to increase profits and decrease spending.  So, far every single month, our needs are supplied.  YAY God!  It’s so awesome that He allows me to be a full time mom and provides for our needs in ways I never thought would be possible.
